I am a freelance historian with over fifteen years of experience of researching and writing history. Based in Bristol, I am coveniently located to undertake research in London and the south-west. With a PhD in the history of seventeenth-century Britain, I have previously been employed as a university tutor and as assistant editor of the Victoria County History of Wiltshire. With a particular specialism in early modern (1500-1800) English local history, but with good experience of researching all periods of history, I am available to carry out research for individuals, institutions and the media.
